D. C. THOMPSON, born Jan. 16, 1846, died Jan. 2, 1929, at his home at Belknap, Iowa, age 82 years.

Married Millie Ann WITT Mar. 6, 1870; seven children, four still living: E. R. THOMPSON of Amarillo, Tex.; J. W. THOMPSON of Eldon, Iowa; Nora PARRETT of Kansas City; and S. A. THOMPSON of Burlington, Iowa. This wife died Oct. 27, 1892.

He married Harriett Elizabeth HARRISON June 12, 1894; two children: May BLACK of Des Moines, Iowa; and Perry THOMPSON of Floris, Iowa. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and 3 grgrchn. Member M.E. Church and Masonic Lodge. Interment at Batavia.
