Samuel V. SAMPSON who died at Agency the 8th inst.... was a member of a Jefferson County pioneer family in the 60's.

Born in Cornwall, Eng., Mar. 17, 1839, came to Fairfield with his parents in 1855. Co. H, 5 IVI. Resident of Wapello Co. 15 years. M.E. Church.
