R. V. RIGGS, well known Jefferson County farmer, died this morning at the Jefferson County Hospital. Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

Born Jan. 14, 1893, at Abingdon, Jefferson Co., Iowa; son of Wm. H. and Lavina RANDALL RIGGS; married Aug. 21, 1915, Oshia WOOD at Centerville. Home about 8 miles s.e. of Fairfield.

Besides wife, is survived by following children: Harry RIGGS, Fairfield; Mrs. LeRoy WHITMORE, Fairfield; Mrs. Robert MORROW, Muscatine; Mrs. James KLISE, Arlington, Va.; Mrs. Eugene FREEMAN, Columbus, Ohio; Pfc James RIGGS, Camp Pendleton, Cal., and Jerry RIGGS, at home; 10 grandchildren; three brothers, C. W. RIGGS, Fairfield; L.M. RIGGS, Vale, Ore.; Earl RIGGS, Medford, Ore.; and a sister Mrs. Lulu COLEMAN, Los Angeles. Preceded in death by a son, three brothers and three sisters.
