ORNDUFF RITES WILL BE SUNDAY. Batavia, Ia. -- Last rites for Fred E. ORNDUFF, 88, will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Campbell Funeral Chapel in Batavia with the Rev. Dale Ellsworth in charge. Burial will be in the Batavia Cemetery. Died 11 a.m. Fri. Jefferson County Hospital at Fairfield.

Born Oct. 27, 1874, in Wapello County, son of Volney and Elizabeth WILSON ORNDUFF. He has farmed all his life in the Batavia community until his retirement in 1946. He had lived in Batavia since. A member of the Batavia Methodist Church; married Cora McNIEL on May 7, 1902; she died 1943.

Survivors include three sons, Kenneth, Ainsworth, Iowa; Wayne, Batavia; and Leonard, Fairfield. Twelve grandchildren, 6 grgrgrchn (sic), one brother, Guy ORNDUFF, Wichita, Kansas; and three sisters, Mrs. Anna PRUNTY and Mrs. Nellie WITTE, Cedar Rapids; and Mrs. Effie NORRIS, Waterloo. He was preceded in death by his wife, one daughter, one son, three brothers and two sisters.
