Mrs. Fred MORRISON
BATAVIA.--Mrs. Fred MORRISON, 67, a teacher in the Batavia school, died at 4:15 p.m. Sunday at the Ottumwa hospital.

Although in poor health for five years, she had continued to teach until March 14.

She had been an instructor in Jefferson county schools for 45 years, serving in Batavia the past 14 years.

She was Ethel Mae IVINS, daughter of Benjamin and Catherine McCLEARY IVINS, and was born May 4, 1890, in Jefferson county. She was married August 29, 1917, to Mr. MORRISON, who survives. She was a member of the Methodist church, the Order of Eastern Star, the Past Matrons club and Delta Kappa Gamma sorority for teachers.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Ben D. COOK of Hot Springs, Ark., and two brothers, Rollie IVINS of Loleta, Calif., and Lee IVINS of Coquille, Ore. Three sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. Ronald Mercer. The casket will be taken to the church at 12:30 from the Campbell funeral chapel here. Burial will be in the Batavia cemetery.
