BATAVIA. Charles A. MORRISON, 88, died at 2:50 a.m. today at the Jefferson County Hospital. Campbell Funeral Chapel in Batavia. Burial in Batavia Cemetery.

Formerly lived on a farm west of Batavia before moving to town where he operated an oil tank truck for over 30 years. Born Dec. 12, 1879, in Wapello County, son of Allen and Sarah BURT MORRISON, and lived his entire life in the Batavia community. Married Martha Jane CLARK Oct. 1, 1901; she died in 1934. He was also preceded in death by his second wife, the former Mary BOYSEL, along with two daughters and two sons.

Survived by one daughter, Mrs. D. W. JOHNSON, Batavia; and five sons, Henry, Claypool, Ind.; Elmer, Batavia; Verner, Bakersfield, Calif.; Arnold, Costa Mesa. Calif.; and Charles Jr., Milwaukee, Wis.
