BATAVIA. Charles D. MILLER, 81, died today at the home of his son, Richard MILLER, five miles n.e. of Batavia. Campbell Funeral Chapel in Batavia. Bur. Memorial Lawn Cemetery at Ottumwa.

Born March 23, 1891, at New Holland, Ill., son of Charles F. and Anna SCHONE MILLER. He had farmed and worked as a carpenter all his life in the Hedrick and Batavia communities. Member First Lutheran Church in Fairfield.

Married Anna KORFHAGE Oct. 12, 1911; she died May 24, 1971. Survivors include: One daughter, Mrs. Irene KELLY, Ottumwa; two sons, Richard, Batavia, and Kenneth, Mount Vernon, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; eight grgrchn; a brother Herman MILLER, Hedrick; and a sister, Mrs. Annie BUSE, Mason City, Ill.; two stepbrothers, Henry and John MILLER, Hedrick; and five stepsisters, Mrs. Marine JOHNSON, Hedrick; Mrs. Margaret HEITZMAN, Mason City, Ill.; Mrs. Freda SHAFER, Tempe, Ariz.; Mrs. Minnie WORTHINGTON, Eureka, Calif.; and Mrs. Helen McCONNELL, Chino, Calif.
