Born Laurel, Ind., Jan. 10, 1877, son of James S. and Talitha J. LEWARK; died Ft. Collins, Col., June 14, 1918.

Survived by wife, Ava H. LEWARK and one son, James Edward Jr.; one sister, Anna KOONS of Batavia, Iowa, and one brother, W. T. LEWARK, Ft. Collins, Col.

Preceded by his father, mother, and one sister Jennie M. HOLMES. Came to Iowa when a boy of two years.... served with the 1st Colorado Reg. in the Phillippines as a musician during the Spanish-American War.... Batavia Cemetery.
