Harvey Chezum, old-time Nevada prospector, died yesterday at a local hospital where he had been under treatment since May. He was seventy-four years old and was a native of Iowa. Nothing is known of any relatives. Private funeral services will be conducted at the Ross-Burke home chapel tomorrow afternoon by Rev. Bayard H. Jones and burial will be in Mountain View cemetery.

HARVEY T CHEZUM was born 23 Mar 1861 in Jefferson Co, Iowa, son of Daniel George CHEZUM and Nancy RIDGEWAY, and died 07 Jul 1935 in Reno, Nevada. He married AMERICA EMALINE SMITH 14 Jan 1882 in Henry County, Iowa (Source: Henry County Marriages Book C.), daughter of MARCUS SMITH and RACHEL WHITE. She was born 20 Feb 1861 in Iowa (Source: 1870 Census-Jefferson County, IA.), and died 24 May 1939 in Hardin, Big Horn, Montana.(Source: Montana Dept. of Vital Records)
