BATAVIA -- J. H. "Harry" ISENHART, veteran Jefferson County seed corn grower, died Sunday at 5:15 p.m. at the Nelson Nursing Home in Fairfield after an illness of several months. He was 95 (sic - 93).
ISENHART was born March 12, 1878 at Victor, Iowa, the son of Francis M. and Margaret E. HAWES ISENHART. Resided in Victor and Colorado before moving to Batavia 41 years ago. He operated the ISENHART Seed Corn Company with Ralph WHISLER the past 32 years.
He was married to Carrie B. WHISLER in September 1927. She passed away in 1954. On December 7, 1955 he was married to Mary OWENS who died in 1970. He was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister and a stepson.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 31 at 2 p.m. at the Campbell Funeral Chapel in Batavia in charge of Rev. Kermit Black with burial in Batavia Cemetery.
