BATAVIA, Ia. -- Mrs. Harry ISENHART, 66, passed away at the Davis County hospital at Bloomfield at 5:30 a.m. today. She had been in poor health for the past six years.
Carrie ISENHART was born Nov. 17, 1887, near Germanville in Jefferson County, daughter of Chris and Anna BAUMGARTNER, and had lived in Jefferson County all of her life. She had lived one mile east of Batavia since 1930. She was a member of the Germanville Lutheran Church and Royal Neighbors of America.
She was married to Thomas WHISLER in 1910 who preceded her in death in 1920. On Sept. 17, 1927, she was married to Harry ISENHART who survives.
Also surviving are one son, Ralph WHISLER, one brother John BAUMGARTNER of Ollie, and one sister, Mrs. William CRAFF of Brighton. She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held at the Campbell Funeral chapel in Batavia Thursday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Sawyer of Bloomfield in charge. Burial will be in the Batavia cemetery. The body is at the Campbell Funeral chapel at Batavia.
