Mr. Hiram GREENLAND, an old resident of Batavia, died there last Sat. Dec. 1. Born Huntingdon Co., Pa. in 1816, near Cassville, came to Batavia about 35 years ago and for the past 24 years has been postmaster there, having been appointed during Lincoln's first administration. Father of 13 children, 11 of which and his wife are still living.
