JOHN JOSEPH ZIHLMAN, born Mar. 23, 1882 near Germanville, son of ANDREW and CAROLINE STADELMANN ZIHLMAN; reared and educated in the Spring Creek community near Brighton; married Dec. 31, 1921 BERTHA CARLBORG. He had lived in Fairfield for the past 50 years and for 49 years he was employed at the Philco-Dexter plant. Retired in 1964. Died 12:30 p.m. Fri. at his home 509 S. Fifth. Heart attack. Raymond Funeral Home. Member St. Mary Catholic church, Holy Name Society and BPO Elks No. 1192. Survived by wife, one son, JOHN JR., and a daughter FRANCES, both of Fairfield; two brothers, LUCAS, Mt. Pleasant, and JAKE, Brighton; also two sisters, BERTHA ZIHLMAN, Brighton, and MRS. EMMA ROTH, Fairfield.
