OLD RESIDENT OF BATAVIA PASSED AWAY

Charles S. FRESCOLN, 82, resident of the Batavia area for 74 years, and president of the Batavia Board of Education for 40 years, died at his home 1/2 mile south of Batavia yesterday. Campbell Funeral Home in Batavia. Burial will be in Batavia Cem.

Born in Philadelphia, Pa., in 1858, moved to Iowa with his parents when 8 years old. He had lived on his farm about 1/2 mile south of Batavia for about 50 years. Methodist & Mason.

Surviving are wife Mary, four sons, Ray, Roy, Charles and Bruce; one brother Joseph K. FRESCOLN of Winner, S.D., one sister, Ellen BEACH of Delta, Col.
