Carroll F. FORNEY died yesterday morning at Ottumwa Hospital. Bur. Batavia.

Born Apr. 23, 1903, son of John and Sarah EVANS FORNEY. Spent entire life in Jefferson and Wapello Counties, and at the time of his death was farming two miles west of Ottumwa.

Married in 1921 Roberta PORTER who died Aug. 7, 1933. Six children are Jack of Ottumwa; Richard, E. Moline, Ill.; Mrs. Lorraine MILLER, Greeley, Kan.; Mrs. Margaret GILEN, Blakesburg; Mrs. Betty SANDERS, Eldon, and Mrs. Roberta Joan TAYLOR of Oskaloosa. Married in Apr. 1949, Ellen WHITE who survives with three sons, Carroll, Jr., Benjamin Leroy and Randy, all at home. Other survivors are his father, John FORNEY, Batavia; three brothers, Kermit, Batavia; Kenneth, Grand River, and Woodrow of Coquille, Ore.; two sisters, Mrs. Genevieve PHILLIPS, Marshalltown, and Mrs. Helen GUNNETTE of Sheffield; a stepdaughter Sarah at home, and nine grandchildren.
