AMONG OUR NEIGHBORS: The Batavia Sentinel chronicles the death of another pioneer settler of Jefferson County, Mrs. Frances PEEBLER of Des Moines Township. Deceased was the widow of Michael F. PEEBLER. She was born in Jackson County, Ky., and was 83 years of age. She and her husband came to this county in 1839, located on a farm near Libertyville, and both ended their lives in that locality. Ten children were born to them, nine of whom are now living. Mrs. PEEBLER died at the home of her only son Ellis H. PEEBLER. She had been a member of the Dunkard church for more than half a century.
