A PIONEER GONE. Samuel HUGHELL, a pioneer settler of Des Moines township, died at his home four miles northwest of Libertyville Saturday morning. While in failing health for some time, his last illness was of less than a week’s duration. Mr. HUGHELL was in the 76th year of his age. He settled in Des Monies township in 1844, and resided there until his death. His wife and two sons – one in Decatur county, the other in Kansas – survive him. Deceased was an excellent man and his death will be mourned by all who knew him. His remains were interred Tuesday near his old home.
