BATAVIA. N. L. DOWNEY, for many years a blacksmith here, died at his home here Wed. evening.

Survived by his sister, Mrs. Minnie WALDRAT, of Mo., who has been caring for him, and the following children: Nelson of Tecumseh, Neb.; Mrs. Earl GARDNER of Ottumwa; Babe of Lincoln, Neb., and Joe at home.

Funeral Friday morning Batavia Methodist Church. Kilwinning Lodge AF & AM will have charge of services at the grave.
