OBITUARY. Sarah McCOTTER was born in Indiana August 7th, 1816, and died at her home near Libertyville, February 26th, 1901. She was married to John HAYDEN in Hamilton County, Ohio, April 24th, 1834, and was the mother of eleven children, six of whom survive her – W. F. HAYDEN, Burlington; Dr. J. W. HAYDEN, Fairfield; Dr. H. R. HAYDEN, Denver, Col.; Jas. F. HAYDEN, Eldon; Dr. Thomas HAYDEN, Fresno, Cal., Mrs. S. E. DAVENPORT. About three years after their marriage the husband entered the ministry of the M. E. Church and continued a faithful and useful ministry of the gospel until his death July 10th, 1888. Mrs. HAYDEN shared in trials and troubles of the life of a pioneer itinerant for many years.
