MRS. H. J. CUMMINGS PASSED AWAY EARLY THIS MORNING

Mrs. H. J. CUMMINGS (sic - Mrs. John Horace CUMMINGS) died early this morning at her home nine miles northeast of the city, after only a few days' illness. Funeral arrangements have not yet been made pending the arrival of relatives.

Mrs. CUMMINGS has been a resident of Jefferson County for the greater part of her life. She is survived by her husband and one son.

Mrs. J. H. Cummings died Friday February 13th at her home 8 miles Northeast of Fairfield.

Priscilla, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John M. CASTELL, born 4 Feb. 1865 at Salina; married 18 Dec 1884. There were three children, two who died in infancy.

Survivied by husband James Horace and a son Clarence E.

Services at the Methodist Church, burial at Evergreen Cemetery.

CUMMINGS.

Priscilla, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John M. CASTELL, was born February 4, 1865, at Salina, Iowa, and died at her home northeast of Fairfield on February 13, 1920, following a short illness of appenicitis.

In December, 1884, she was unitd in marriage to J. H. CUMMINGS. Three children were born to Mr. and Mrs. CUMMINGS, two of them dying in infancy, the other, Clarence, and her husband being left to mourn her loss. Mrs. CUMMINGS was a consistent member of the Methodist church from early childhood, was a loved wife and mother and a good neighbor.

Funeral services were held at the family home on Sunday in charge of Rev. J. W. Carson. Burial was made in Evergreen cemetery.
