BATAVIA. Ralph B. DAILEY, 56, died suddenly about 4:15 p.m. Mon. while hunting coyotes with a group of friends.... in the Mt. Zion area 7 mi. s.e. of Batavia. Campbell Funeral Chapel. Bur. Batavia Cemetery.

Born Apr. 10, 1913, in Wapello County, son of Raleigh B. and Elsie MERRY DAILEY, and lived all of his life in the Bladensburg and Batavia communities. Member Bladensburg Christian Church.

Has lived on a farm 3 mi. s.e. of Batavia for the past 19 years. Was a former school teacher; married Louise BLACK Apr. 19, 1936, at Ottumwa. She survives.

Other survivors include one daughter, Mrs. James TAYLOR, Batavia; his father, R. B. DAILEY and stepmother, Mrs. Eva DAILEY, and a sister, Mrs. Elmer TIMM, all of Sumner; a stepsister, Mrs. Kenneth HARFORD, Beaver, Okla.; and one stepbrother, James DAILEY, Eldon. Preceded in death by one brother.
