Mrs. Clara COPELAND, 80, died Ottumwa Hospital Sunday morning. Campbell Funeral Chapel in Batavia. Burial in Batavia Cemetery.

Born July 1, 1877, in Chillicothe, Iowa, daughter of Peter and Anna JOHNSON NELSON. Moved to Batavia with parents when she was 16 years old.... She was married Sept. 1899, to Loren COPELAND who died in 1937.... Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. John SWENSON, Branson, Mo.; Mrs. A. D. DEWEY, Reed Springs, Mo.; one son, Maurice COPELAND, Des Moines, and one grandson. A sister preceded her in death.
