Mrs. Fern STAGERS, 62, died Tues. morning at her home at Green Acres Mobile Home Court. Services Thurs. 2 PM at Behner Funeral Home. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery near Douds.

Born June 26, 1910, near Batavia, daughter of Frank and Mary Agnes NELSON CONNER; married March 24, 1927, Jay M. STAGERS. They lived in Douds until they moved to Fairfield in 1954. Husband died 1961. She served as head cook for the Fairfield Community School District for several years. Later worked at Parsons College and the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant before taking a position at the Jefferson County Home.

Survived by three children: Mrs. Mary MOORE, East Peoria, Ill.; Mrs. Audrey DOUD, Fairfield; and Dean STAGERS, Peoria; 7 grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Edith MULLEN, Springfield, Mo. She was a member of the First Christian Church.
