Mrs. Mary E. (PICKEREL) CLARK, born Apr. 30, 1848, in Wapello County, Iowa; died Nov. 1, 1919, at her home 1 1/2 miles east of Batavia aged 71-6-1.

In 1865 married George W. CLARK; 12 children: Wm. of Batavia, Emily NEWBERRY, Batavia; Anna BULLOCK, Batavia; Rebekah LIBLIN, Fairfield; Leona ALLENDER, Oklahoma; John, Mt. Union; Carrie SHIPLEY, Ottumwa; Charles and Tom of Batavia, and Maude CRAFT of Fairfield. June and Harvey preceded their mother in death.

She also leaves two brothers, Henry and Frank PICKEREL of Batavia, and the sisters, Mrs. Nancy LONSBURY and Mrs. Joseph LONSBURY living in Kansas, and Mrs. Hiram BICKFORD of Batavia.... Agency Cemetery.
