L. S. CALHOUN, born Elmira, Mo., Apr. 7, 1893, died at his home in Batavia, Iowa, Nov. 24, 1918. Came to Iowa at age 15 to make his home with an uncle, P. F. EARLY....
July 20, 1917, married Miss Hazel D. CLEMENTS, and they have made Batavia their home. He was a carpenter by trade. His mother Mrs. Bessie CALHOUN from Richmond, Okla.... wife and little daughter Norma, father and mother Mr. and Mrs. E. E. CALHOUN, two brothers, Clifford and Donovan, four sisters, Martha, Arlo, Katheryn and Ruth, of Richmond, Okla.; two aunts, Mrs. P. F. EARLY and Mrs. John MORRIS of Ottumwa.... Interment in Batavia Cemetery.
