Osee CALDWELL, born in Keokuk County, Iowa, Jan. 19, 1874; died at her home in Batavia Sept. 8, 1924, aged 51-7-20; married Floyd WELLS Nov. 1, 1898; one son Otto WELLS who with her aged mother Mrs. Kitty CALDWELL are left to mourn. Her father, William CALDWELL, died in 1910.

After a busy and useful life she died as she had lived, honored, trusted and loved.... Today the autumn leaves fall upon another grave that hides from us a true and noble woman. Batavia Cemetery.
