BATAVIA. Willis BLANCHARD, 78, died Sat. at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Clarence BLACK, three miles west of here. Campbell Funeral Chapel. Bur. Batavia Cem.

Born Feb. 18, 1873, in Pleasant Twp., Wapello County, son of Jacob and Mary; married Hattie KITTERMAN Mar. 19, 1905; she died Feb. 10, 1948.

He was an active farmer all his life until he retired and moved to Batavia in 1943. Survived by a daughter, Mrs. Priscilla CRAWFORD, Appleton City, Mo., and three half-brothers, Tillet BLANCHARD, Jake BLANCHARD, and Oliver BLANCHARD, all of Ottumwa.
