Obit. Gahama Hiram BICKFORD, son of Washington and Eliza BICKFORD, born Washington Co., Va. Aug. 8, 1848, came to Iowa at age 8 years and located in Jefferson County, died at his home in Batavia July 19, 1930 age 81-11-11.

In 1872 married Phoebe Ellen HARRISON; two children, Geo. Washington of Yakima, Washington, and Mrs. Ella WILLARD of Everson, Washington. The mother died in Mar., 1875. Apr. 18, 1876 he married Harriet Matilda PICKERELL who died Apr. 1, 1923; three children: Walter Wilson who died July 21, 1927; Mrs. Myrtle McBRIDE of Birmingham, Iowa, and Iva May who died July 14, 1894. He married in October 1923 Mrs. Virginia BEVANS of Ottumwa who survives....
