PACKWOOD--Mrs. Morgan WELLS died at the home of her son, Wm. WELLS, November 18th.....Mrs. WELLS, whose maiden name was Mary GROVES, was born in Harrison County, Indiana, in 1833, and came with her parents to Iowa when quite young. She was married to Morgan WELLS in 1849. Ten children were born to them, two dying in infancy. The remaining eight are married. One, in the Klondike, two sons in North Dakota; the others were present at the funeral, which took place Saturday. Burial was made in the Gantz cemetery.

Note: Husband was Rufus Morgan WELLS who died in 1897 and is buried with her.
