Ray R. ANDERSON, 75, well known resident of the Batavia community, died Thurs. at Ottumwa Hospital.... Campbell Funeral Home. Military rites at Batavia Cemetery.
Born Feb. 10, 1886, in Jefferson Co., son of Lincoln and Emma CAMPBELL ANDERSON. Spent most of his life in Batavia community. Veteran of WWI and worked as a carpenter for Northwestern RR and Burlington RR. Retired 1947. Member Batavia Christian Church, Kilwinning Lodge No. 198, A.F. & A.M., and Batavia American Legion.
Married Olive MORRISON Nov. 9, 1940; she survives. Other survivors include two sisters: Mrs. Hazel FISHEL, San Bernardino, Calif., and Mrs. Hilda SOEDLER, Peru, Ill. He was preceded in death by one sister.
