Obit. Wylie John ALFRED, son of Wm. & Hannah, born Batavia, Iowa, Aug. 27, 1869; died Bernhart, Iowa, Apr. 3, 1922 aged 67-7-24.

Married May 8, 1901, Miss Nellie GABBERT; two daughters: Mildred Lorraine died in infancy, and Lora Leota. Leaves wife and daughter, mother, Mrs. Hannah ALFRED of Batavia, and four brothers, George of Ottumwa; Ed of Batavia; James of Fairfield, and Stew, of Eldon; one sister, Mrs. Emma BROWN of Batavia. Preceded in death by a sister Mary who died Jan. 16, 1921. Member Christian Church. Employed by CB&Q. Interment in Batavia Cemetery.
