Mabel V. Brown, 86, of Ottumwa died at 3:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, 2006, at Ottumwa Manor care center.

A service is set for 10 a.m. Monday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, with the Rev. David Albert officiating. Burial will be in Iowaville Cemetery near Selma.

Open visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials to the Ottumwa Manor activity fund may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 3130 85th St., Batavia 52533.

Mrs. Brown was born April 30, 1919, in Wapello, the daughter of Elijah and Nellie Seitz Russell. She married Carl M. Brown Feb. 19, 1937. He died Dec. 10, 2000.
