Edward A. SHARPE, native of Sweden and a long-time resident of Jefferson County, died Monday at Ottumwa Hospital.... burial will be in the Upland Cemetery south of Lockridge.

Born Oct. 20, 1877, at Ostergylen, Sweden, son of John and Augustana CARLSON. Came to the U.S. with his parents in July, 1885. Has lived in the county over 79 years and in Fairfield for the past 20 years. Retired farmer.

On Dec. 20, 1905, married Minnie ERICKSON who survives. Wedding took place near Lockridge. Member Augustana Lutheran Church at Lockridge, and the family home is at 506 W. Madison.

In addition to his wife, SHARPE is survived by two nieces and two nephews.
