Page 2, Column 2SIMON H. BLOUGH DIED SUDDENLY SUNDAY MORNING
Simon H. BLOUGH passed away yesterday morning at nine o'clock at his home at 400 East Washington street, following a two hours illness with neuralgie of the heart. Mr. BLOUGH was seemingly in his usual health early in the morning, but complained of being ill immediately after the breakfast hour. His sudden demise came as a shock to his family and friends.
Mr. BLOUGH moved to Fairfield from his farm southeast of the city about two years ago. He was aged sixty years, and is survived by his wife, five brothers and three sisters.
Funeral will probably be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. They are awaiting word from a brother who resides in Montana.

Simon Henry BLOUGH died at his home in Fairfield, Iowa. Sunday morning, April 25, 1920, after an illness of only a few hours with neuralgia of the heart.
He was the eldest son of Henry D. and Anna BAUGHMAN BLOUGH, and was born in Elkart county, Indiana, May 29, 1853, being at the time of his death 66 years, 10 months and 26 days old.
As a child of 3 years he came with his parents to Davis county, Iowa. Then in the fall of 1865 the family moved to what is known as the BLOUGH homestead southeast of Fairfield, Jefferson county, Iowa, where his boyhood days were spent.
In March 1882 he was united in marriage with Miss Anna BRENY (sic - BRUEY). The first 25 years of their married life was spent on a farm southwest of Libertyville, Jefferson county, Iowa. Later they moved to a farm near the home of his youth, living there until March, 1919, when they moved to Fairfield.
Mr. BLOUGH leaves to mourn their loss his devoted wife, 3 sisters, Mrs. Mary W. DuBOIS, Mrs. D. B. HEDGE and Mrs. George NEWLAND all of Fairfield, and five brothers, John D. of Winnifred, Montana; Eli M., David, Melvin and Christian all of Jefferson county, and a host of life-long friends.
Funeral services were held this afternoon at two o'clock, from the residence, conducted by Rev. R. H. Polly, of the Christian church.

Well Known Retired Farmer is Stricken by Hear tAttack (sic) at Washington Street HomeDeath came unannounced last Sunday to Simon Henry BLOUGH at his home in East Washington street in this city when he was seized with an attack of neuralgia of the heart and died in a few moments following the attack.
Mr. BLOUGH complained of not feeling well Sunday morning and Mrs. BLOUGH summoned a physician. there were no perceptible symptoms of illness apparent when the doctor called but Mr. BLOUGH expired while he was present.
Mr .BLOUGH (sic), who was sixty-six years of age, was planning to build a new home on Washington street in which he and his wife might spent their declining years in comfort following an active and industrious life on the farm. The house was to be built on the site of the old "Yank" Mikesell home, this house having already been moved away in preparation for the new building.
Born in Indiana Mr. BLOUGH came to Jefferson (sic - Davis) county, Iowa, three years later and in 1865 came to Jefferson county, residing on a farm near here until about a year ago when he moved to Fairfield. He was married in 1882 to Miss Anna BRUEY.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at the home conducted by Rev. R .H. Polly (sic) of the Christian church, and burial was made in Evergreen cemetery.

... A number from here attended the funeral of Simon BLOUGH at Fairfield last Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. BLOUGH formerly lived south of town and their many friends extend their heartfelt sympathy to the grief-stricken wife.
