MRS. JAQUES PASSED AWAY
Fuenral Services Saturday At 2 From Methodist Church

Mrs. Elizabeth Amy JAQUQES (sic), widow of A. W. JAQUES, passed away at her home, 404 West Broadway, at 5:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon. She had been in failing health for the past two years and suffered a stroke Saturday.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the First Methodist church in charge of Dr. U. S. Smith. Burial in Evergreen cemetery. The body will be taken from the Hoskins funeral home to the home on West Broadway tomorrow morning.

Mrs. JAQUES spent her entire life in Jefferson county and is well known in Fairfield(.) She was born Janaury 10, 1864. Her husband preceded her in death 14 years ago. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Goldie STILL of Fairfield and two brothers Earl GOBBLE of Chicago and Ernest GOBBLE of Ottumwa.

JAQUES FUNERAL AT 2 TOMORROW FIRST M. E. CHURCH

Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth JAQUES, who passed away at her home here Wednesday afternoon, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from the First Methodist church. Dr. U. S. Smith will have charge of the last rites.

The body will be taken from the Hoskins funeral home to the church at one o'clock. Burial will take place in Evergreen cemetery.

MRS. ELIZABETH JAQUES

Elizabeth Amy HAMILTON JAQUES was born January 10th, 1864 and died September 16th, 1931. While she was born in Missouri, the family came in her early life to Jefferson County, Iowa where she has since made her home.

She was married to A. W. JAQUES, December 17, 1882, who preceded her in death fourteen years ago. She had no children of her own but reared to manhood and womanhood the four children of her husband all of whom have preceded her in death.

She is survived by one sister Mrs. Goldie STILL, and two half brothers, Earl GOBBLE of Chicago and Emmett GOBBLE of Ottumwa.

August 7th, 1887 she became a member of the Methodist Church and has continued consistent in that faith until the day of her departure.

She was devoted to her home and home life, was a great lover of flowers and greatly enjoyed the fellowship of her neignors (sic). She has been in failing health for the past two years, and for the past several months has rapidly failed until death came to her relief at 5:30 o'clock, September 16th.

Mrs. JAQUES was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters, Noble HAMILTON, Caroline ROSS of Nebraska, Mrs. Frank FLEIG of Farson, Iowa and 21 nieces and nephews all of which she was very fond. Noble lived in this state.
