Roll J. IRELAND Taken In Death

Roll J. IRELAND, 87, longtime resident of the Fairfield area, died at 5 a.m. today at Mercy Hospital in Mason City (note: in Cerro Gordo Co., IA). He resided at the IOOF home at Mason City before entering the hospital.

The body is at the Raymond Funeral home. Arrangements are pending.

IRELAND is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Bessie MELVIN, Roswell, N. M.; one granddaughter and two great grandchildren.

Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Charles IRELAND, Fairfield; Fred IRELAND, Fairfield; Mrs. Maude BAKER, Fairfield; and Mrs. Ruth ADAMS, Keokuk.

IRELAND was a member of the local IOOF lodge.

IRELAND Funeral Will Be Monday

Last rites will be Monday at 10 a.m. for Roll J. IRELAND, 87, longtime resident of Fairfield who died Thursday at the Mercy hospital in Mason City.

The rites Monday will be held at the First Christian church, with the Rev. Ned Gillum in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

The body will be taken from the Raymond funeral home to the church at 9 a.m. the day of the services.

He had been a resident of the IOOF home in Mason City for the past several years.

Note: Buried in Lot Old.P.353. He had been married twice, the first wife being Alice Emma BLACK, from whom he was divorced; second wife was Ora E. CALDWELL SIMMONS who died in 1941 and was buried in Old.P.107 with her first husband. Rollin was born October 3, 1877, and died January 28, 1965.
