Wife of Frank IRELAND was 42; suffered from heart ailmentGertie IRELAND, wife of Frank IRELAND, died at 10:00 this morning at her home three miles south of Packwood ,of a heart ailment.She had been in poor health for about three weeks. Mrs. IRELAND, born in Abingdon on Sept. 8, 1895, was 42 years old.
She is survived by her husband who is a nephew of W. B. IRELAND of Fairfield, her mother, Mrs. Dan McCREERY of Abingdon, four sons, Paul, who is assistant educational director at the Fairfield CCC camp, Charles, who is in Kansas for the harvest, Dale and Frank Jr. at home; and two daughters, Betty Joan and Marilyn, at home. Also surviving are four brothers, and two sisters.
She had spent her entire life in this vicinity. The body was brought to the Hoskins Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Funeral services for Mrs. Frank IRELAND, 42, years of age, were held Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Hoskins Funeral Home in Fairfield. Services were conducted by Rev. S. P. Williamson, of the First Christian church of Fairfield. The Packwood Male Quartette sang two numbers. Quartette members are Ira Davis, Raymond McChesney, Virgil McCreery and Harold McChesney, with Mrs. C. C. McChesney as accompanist. Pall bearers, neighbors of the IRELAND family, were Tom Myers, Earl Ferguson, J. S. Cowen, J. C. Heald, Merle Lucas and William Hipp.
Charles IRELAND, second oldest son, had gone a few days before his mother's death to harvest on a farm near Manhatten, Kan. Friends brought him home by auto, that he might reach here in time for the services. The other five children and husband were present.
Mrs. IRELAND was a member of the Packwood Christian church and a faithful worker in the Ladies Aid Society of that church. She was known as a good wife and mother, always interested in the school and other activities of her children.
Although not in the best of health for several weeks, she was confined to her bed for only a short time.
