RICHLAND -- Frankie George GREINER, 74, died unexpectedly at about 2 p.m. Monday at the Rath Hog Buying Station in Richland (note: in Keokuk Co., IA).
GREINER was born June 3, 1902 at Packwood, the son of Frank and Rosia KLEIN GREINER. He married Blanche QUINN on Jan. 30, 1936. The couple retired from farming north of Packwood and moved to their new home in Richland in 1972.
GREINER is survived by his widow; two sisters, Mrs. Rosanna STORTZ of Libertyville and Mrs. Elsie FRAZIER of Kinross; one brother, Raymond of Batavia and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Services will be Wednesday, 2 p.m., at the Gould Funeral Home in Richland with the Rev. Naomi Lock officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield. A memorial fund has been established for Richland Public Library.
