MRS. HUFFMAN PASSES AWAY
Services Thursday; interment in Evergreen cemetery

Mrs. Alice HUFFMAN, 75, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. D. McCLURE, four miles south of Eldon, at 1:10 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, after being in failing health two years and seriously ill the last three weeks.

She was the daughter of Samuel and Sophia CHRISTY and was born in Davis county, where she spent all her life.

She became a member of the Floris Christian church when young and was married to Edward HART in 1881. He died in 1883. She was married to Hiram HUFFMAN in 1884. He died in 1923.

She is survived by her mother Mrs. Samuel CHRISTY of Floris, four daughters, Mrs. Lille LEPPER of Fairfield, Mrs. Frank RIZOR of Fairfield, Mrs. Oran THOMPSON of Floris and Mrs. C. D. McCLURE of Floris rural route; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Will JACQUES (sic - JAQUES) of Fairfield and Mrs. Walter RAINS of Packwood; three sons, John HUFFMAN of Packwood, Bert HUFFMAN of Batavia and Will HUFFMAN of Floris; two brothers, Charles CHRISTY of Dix, Neb., and Roy CHRISTY of Sand Point, Idaho; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

One stepson, James HUFFMAN, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem church with the Rev. Ray Willey of Martinsburg in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery at Fairfield. The body is at the Campbell funeral home at Eldon.
