Wilbur L. "Bill" HOLLANDER, 83, 1601 North B St., died at 1:10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20, 1997, at Jefferson County Hospital.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Royar officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery with the Elk Ritual conducted during the committal service. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to Jefferson County Hospice or First United Methodist Church.
HOLLANDER was born Nov. 19 (sic - 18th), 1913, in Fairfield. He married Martha PARRISH on Aug. 29, 1936, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. A farmer, he was a lifetime resident of Fairfield. He was a 50-year member of the IOOF Lodge, a lifetime member of BPO Elks 1192, and a member of the Fairfield Lions Club.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Richard of Bowling Green, Ky., and Jim of Fairfield; one daughter, Kay GROUT of Mason City; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ada KELLER of Fairfield.
He was preceded in death by his father, E. R., and one brother, Mervin.
