FAIRFIELD -- Fritz HOGAN, 83, of Fairfield, died at 8:40 a.m. Nov. 22, 1996, at Valley Lutheran Hospital in Mesa, Ariz.
He was born Oct. 1, 1913, in Salem, Mo. He married Lena M. PIERSON Feb. 14, 1940, in Burlington.
He lived in the Fairfield community for over 43 years and was a farmer. He was also a baker at Parson's College and worked at Fairfield Bakery and Stever House. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Fairfield.
He is survived by his wife of Fairfield; a son, Dean of Fort Madison; a daughter, Dixie HOEKMAN of Des Moines; five grandchildren; and a sister, Rose BRENNEMAN of Nichols.
Private family services will be Wednesday, the Rev. Bonifacio Mequi officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield. The casket will be closed.
Memorials may be made to Youth Homes, Mid America, Johnston, Iowa.
