Page 7, Column 8E. G. HILLMAN To Be Buried Here Friday
Word has been received here of the death of Elmer George HILLMAN, former resident of Jefferson county who has been a rancher and sheep herder in Colorado for the past 50 years. He passed away Sunday in a hospital at Las Animas, Colorado.
The body will be returned to Fairfield where last rites will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Hoskins funeral home in charge of the Rev. S. P. Williamson. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
The body, scheduled to arrive here Thursday morning, will be accompanied by Wesley ERICKSON and Mrs. Mabel AMSBERRY of Paonia, Colo., relatives of the deceased man.
Elmer George HILLMAN was born Feb. 25, 1868, on a farm one mile northwest of Four Corners in Jefferson county. He was the son of Charles and Mary PETERSON HILLMAN, a pioneer family in this community. He never married and was the last of nine children.
Survivors include several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers (and the remainder of the article is cut off... probably noting 'and three sisters'.)
