M. Irene HIATT

FAIRFIELD -- M. Irene HIATT, 85, of Fairfield died at 6 a.m. March 20, 1991, at Longterm Care Unit, Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

She was born Feb. 25, 1906, near Libertyville to Emery Wilson and Hermie MOORE CARTER. She married Jay Alvin HIATT on Feb. 24, 1926, in Fairfield. He died Feb. 3, 1969.

She had lived her life in Fairfield, graduating from Fairfield High School in 1925. She worked as a dietary aide at Jefferson County Hospital for several years and was a member of First Christian Church in Fairfield.

She is survived by a son, Bruce of Fairfield; a daughter, Darlene SUTHERLIN of Anchorage, Alaska; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mildred CARTER of Fairfield.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Evaughn.

The service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at First Christian Church in Fairfield, the Rev. Robert Gates officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield

The family will be at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday.

Memorials may be made to her church or Lord's Cupboard.
