Gilbert HEWITT died at his home in this city Sabbath July. 26th, 1903. He was born February, 24, 1815 in New York. He was married September, 29, 1848. He came to this county in 1856 and settled on a farm where he remained until 1892 when he moved into this city. Funeral services were held from the residence Tuesday afternoon conducted by Rev. W. C. Shepherd.
