Harry Luther HESTON, 85, 103 W. Kirkwood Ave., died at 1:20 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, 1994, at Jefferson County Hospital.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Todd Follette officiating. Cremation will follow and burial of ashes will be at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be open at the funeral home beginning Sunday. Memorials may be made to the family.
HESTON was born April 20, 1908, in Jefferson County, the son of James and Elizabeth FOWLER HESTON. He married Anice OLIVER Nov. 23, 1962, in Ottumwa. A life-long resident of Fairfield, he was a retired core maker, having worked at Dexter Co. for 37 years.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Dale of Liberty, Mo.; a daughter, Virginia BROWN of Tempe, Ariz.; three stepsons, John HARPER of Rockford, Ill., Fred HARPER of Durant, Lester HARPER of Fort Morgan, Colo.; two stepdaughters, Susan SNYDER of Richland, Janice CATANZARO of Burlington; several grandchildren and stepgrandchildren; several great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a brother, Robert of Clear Lake. A son, Wayne, two sisters and a brother preceded him in death.
