Page 2, Column 4MRS. HERRING DIED IN COLORADO.
A telegram reached this city this morning announcing the death of Mrs. Jane HERRING, which occurred Saturday afternoon at the house of A. J. Castile, in Paonia, Colorado, where she had been visiting for a few weeks. Her last illness was of short duration. About ten days ago she became quite ill and her son, Charles H. HERRING and wife, were notified and left immediately for her bedside, and were with her when the end came.
Mrs. HERRING was one of the best known residents of this city and the news of her death will be received here with sorrow by a large number of friends. She resided on West Broadway in this city and made her home with her son, Charles H. HERRING and wife. Rspecially (sic) among the older residents Mrs. HERRING was well known.
Mr. and Mrs. C. H. HERRING will reach this city tomorrow noon with the remains and the funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at the home. The hour has not yet been determined. The interment will take place in Evergreen cemetery.

Fairfield, Aug. 8th--
