Catherine, wife of George H. HERMAN, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. G. P. LANG, in this city Sunday morning, in the eightieth year of her age. Deceased was a native of Weiter, Wurtemberg, Germany. She came to the United States in early womanhood, and was married at Louisville, Ken., in 1850. The family removed to Burlington in 1860, and to this city in 1890. The aged husband and two children, Mrs. G. P. LANG and John HERMAN, survive the wife and mother. The remains were interred in this city Monday morning, Rev. M. L. Melick of the Lutheran church conducting the funeral services.
