LOCAL WOMAN DIES TODAY

Estella Virginia HEATON, 78, life time resident of Fairfield, died today at 12:05 p.m. at the Jefferson county hospital where she had been a patient for the past week. She had been in poor health for several years and seriously ill the past two weeks.

She was born June 29, 1868, at Fairfield, the daughter of the late Alfred and Elizabeth TULLUS (sic - TULLIS) HEATON. She was the last of a family of twelve children. Her home was at 405 S. D street. She was a member of the Lutheran church.

Miss HEATON is survived by the following nieces and nephews: Mrs. Frank OLRICH (sic - OHLRICH), George GIBSON, Mrs. Elinor KENDALL, Mrs. Daisy GILBERT, and Charles GIBSON, all of Fairfield; Edward GIBSON, Davenport; Mrs. Sadie WALKER, Chicago; Mrs. George R. BLAIR, Gary, Indiana; Mrs. A. J. HAMMER, Bowling Green, Ohio, and Mrs. Sadie BOYES, Cleveland, Ohio.

The body was taken to the Hoskins funeral home where last rites are pending.

HEATON Rites To Be Thursday Afternoon

Last rites for Estella Virginia HEATON will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Hoskins funeral home in charge of Dr. E. A. Piper. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Miss HEATON died Tuesday at the Jefferson county hospital following a serious illness of two weeks.
