Earl Bruce HAWTHORNE

Earl Bruce HAWTHORNE, 49, of Iowa City, formerly of Fairfield, died Thursday, Nov, 16, 1995, in a one-car accident on Interstate 80 near Grinnell. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Evergreen Cemetery, with the Rev. Richard Wallarab officiating. Memorials have been established to First Presbyterian Church and the Fairfield Public Library.

HAWTHORNE was born June 6, 1946, in Fairfield, the son of Ruth ALLEN HAWTHORNE. He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1964 and from the University of Iowa. He had lived most of his life in the Fairfield and Iowa City communities, and was employed at Shakey's Pizza in Coralville.

Surviving are his mother of Fairfield and an aunt.
