DEATH CLAIMS MRS. HARWICK

Mrs. Cora J. HARWICK, 60, passed away Tuesday about 2 p.m. at the Jefferson county hospital after a serious illness of about two weeks.

Last rites will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner funeral home. Rev. L. H. Scheerer will officiate, and burial will be in the Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. HARWICK was the daughter of the late Cornelius and Amanda BARKER. She was born June 23, 1881 (sic - 1887), in Forest City, Illinois. She had been a resident of this community for the past five years, moving here from Mt. Vernon, South Dakota. She was a member of the Methodist church.

Mrs. HARWICK is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Jessie RICHARDSON, Detroit, Michigan; Mrs. Jack MURPHY, Brownsville, Texas; and Mrs. Clifford SHAFRANEK, Fairfield; two sons, Landon and Albert HARWICK, both serving in the U. S. army; and an only grandchild, Richard SHAFRANEK. She is also survived by three brothers, Lyman BARKER, Winterset, Iowa; Harry and Albert BARKER, both of Astoria, Illinois.

Mrs. HARWICK was preceded in death by her husband, Robert HARWICK.
